After our short but sweet Denver layover we took the redeye down to Costa Rica. With about two weeks to roam around before we were due to report to our 3 month housesitting gig in Panama, we decided to head to the South of Costa Rica. We had tentative plans to slowly make our way to the Osa Peninsula and have a look around. We were in search of any little town that we could see ourselves creating a new life in, but the only thing we ended up finding was a strong nagging pull back to the Nicoya Peninsula. The place we honeymooned and fell in love with in 2011 and in 2012 spent the entire month of June soaking up the sun and learning to surf. We promptly turned the rental car around on day 3 and headed North.
So it was settled, there was no need to wander around the country in search of a home, the Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area of Costa Rica is it. If you will be looking for us in the next 7 months (hopefully a lot longer), you can find us there. And if you’re planning a destinations wedding in that vicinity, look no further. I’m your girl!
Below are images from our 2 week in Costa Rica (pre-Panama housesitting gig). We hit the Ballena National Park and some other random stops along the way before U-turning back to Santa Teresa. We met some German friends, Julia and Dominic, and they joined us for a fun day in Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve at the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula.
